Studio Lighting Courses

The IWDIG is pleased to promote the Studio Lighting Courses as shown below. Many of our photographers have already attended one or more of these courses and they come highly recommended,

The course was great, I learnt a lot and was impressed by how professional both the trainer and model were. I’m looking forward to a refresher course later in the year, thanks.

IWDIG: BBC Radio Solent Focus On Photography

I’m sure at one time or another we’ve all been told to ‘get a life’, well for (Isle of Wight Digital Imaging Group) photographer and tutor Gary Early this came fairly close yesterday as he chatted to  BBC Radio Solent Presenter Neil Sackley for his ‘Get a Life’ radio programme.

Isle of Wight Photographer of the Year Competition 2013

Good news to get focused on photography!

Following an extended ‘Gap Year’ the Isle of Wight Photographer of the Year Competition and Awards (IWPOY) will return in January 2013.

The Isle of Wight Photographer of the Year Competition and Awards initiated 2006, provides an opportunity for all photographers around the Isle of Wight to communicate and share their skills with other Island photographers.

As organisers of the annual competition  “the Isle of Wight Photographer of the Year will be back in January 2013 with prizes and challenges for all photographers who live on the Island.”

Isle of Wight Photographers in Best of Great Britain Awards

Some good news for the Isle of Wight Digital Imaging Group during National Photography Month…   we now have over 200 votes in the Greats of Great Britain: Great Exhibition Awards 2012.

Today we noticed with 206 votes that the IWDIG is currently top, in first place, in the Celebrate in Great Britain: Best in Britain 2012 Photographer Category.

The official title and category we could win, in the Great Exhibition Awards 2012, is Best in Britain Photographer.

Rest assured a poster in celebration of our wonderous accolade is now winging its way out in print.  Continue reading
