Isle of Wight Digital Imaging Group Photographers created a picture perfect photographic record of Island community celebrations during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The UK will hold its first ever National Photography Month (NPM) throughout June 2012. This nationwide initiative will be a celebration of the importance of photography in our daily lives and help the public understand and appreciate the importance of photography as a medium to ‘capture and keep’ their treasured memories and life’s most important moments.
The Isle of Wight Digital Imaging Group will be taking part in National Photography Month by creating a gallery on our Isle of Wight Photo Agency website and IWDIG photographers will be encouraged to upload images taken on the Island throughout the month of June to support the NPM ethos ‘capture and keep’. With their fingers firmly on the shutter, the Isle of Wight Digital Imaging Group network of photographers have launched the first ‘Isle of Wight Photo Agency’.
Building on a commitment to ensure photographers realise appreciation in the creativity and value of their work, the photo agency is part of a series of innovations to give IWDIG photographers a heads up on the business side of their photography.
Due to increasing demand from media publishers for high quality, cost effective images for use on corporate sites, books and in magazines there appears to be a market for this type of stock photography. Continue reading
