Adobe Stages Free Online Creative Week

In July, Adobe will be staging a free online event.  Billed as ‘Creative Week’  specific events will be broadcast live over five days  from 9th-13th July and will involve key figures from the creative world.

IWDIG Support ‘National Photography Month’ June 2012

The UK will hold its first ever National Photography Month (NPM) throughout June 2012. This nationwide initiative will be a celebration of the importance of photography in our daily lives and help the public understand and appreciate the importance of photography as a medium to ‘capture and keep’ their treasured memories and life’s most important moments.

The Isle of Wight Digital Imaging Group will be taking part in National Photography Month by creating a gallery on our Isle of Wight Photo Agency website  and IWDIG photographers will be encouraged to upload images taken on the Island throughout the month of June to support the NPM ethos ‘capture and keep’. Something for the Weekend: Clocks Go Back

On Sunday 30th October the clocks go back at 2.am and we will gain an extra hour.  Just like our Isle of Wight Digital Imaging Group (IWDIG)  project earlier this year when the clocks sprung forward , lets capture ‘The Hour’ as a snapshot in time.

IWDIG Mobile Phone, Facebook, Twitter & Flickr Friendly

IWDIG have launched many internet friendly and digital photographic initiatives, over the last year, and now we have the only mobile phone friendly photography club website on the Isle of Wight.

Now mobile smartphone and device users can find their way around the website easily accessing all of the links and read all the content with ease.  A recent initiative launched, in August, ensured regular mobile phone text alerts are already being sent to IWDIG photographers along with newsletters and updates. 

Ever vigilant that visitors to our website were not just viewing the IWDIG on their Laptops and Pc’s but are accessing us on iPhones, android devices or Blackberries, we have installed a new mobile application this week. Continue reading

A world price record was set at the 19th WestLicht camera auction by lot number 1 when a Leica 0 sold for 1.3 million Euro.   The bidder, a private collector from Asia, is the new owner of the most expensive camera ever sold worldwide.
